Amber is noted in metaphysics to give a soothing, light energy that is both calming and energizing at the same time. It is said to help manifest desires and heighten intellectual abilities, clarity of thought, and wisdom. It is reputed to cleanse its environment by drawing out negativity, and to relieve physical pain the same way. It is used mystically to bring the energies of patience, protection, psychic shielding, romantic love, sensuality, purification, balance, healing and calmness to those who wear or carry it.

A legend claims the God of Mines called his courtiers to bring together all the world’s known gems: Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, etc. etc., and he found them to be of all tints and colours and varying hardnesses. He took one of each and crushed them; he compounded them together, and declared, “Let this be something that will combine the beauty of all.” He spoke, and lo, the Diamond was born…pure as a dewdrop and invincible in hardness. Yet when its ray is resolved in the spectrum, it displays all the colours of the gems from which it was made.

In the ancient world, Bloodstone (Heliotrope) was considered to be the most beautiful of the Jaspers, a deep, earthy green gem emboldened with spots of bright red. Called the Sun Stone, and later Christ’s Stone, its energy carries the purity of blood and inherently speaks of life and birth, vitality and strength, passion and courage. As a talisman it is both mystical and magical, and its virtues are protective and nurturing.

With the radiance of the sun and the fire of the solar ray, Sunstone carries the energy of Ra, the sun god, whose energy brings all potential life from within the Earth. It is a Stone of Leadership - of personal power, freedom, and expanded consciousness. Tiger's Eye is a stone of protection that is also very stabilizing and grounding.  It enhances integrity, willpower,  self-confidence, practicality and correct use of  power. It is a stone that enhances good luck, and brings prosperity, often in the form of money. Tiger's eye is also a very protective stone which is especially protective during travel. It can also help one see clearly without illusion. Tiger's eye brings a special boost to the solar plexus chakra and to one's personal power.

What I want The Sun Tarot to tell

Your creativity and confidence is usually quite high, but recently you’ve lost your touch. Don’t worry. The Sun card represents your re-integration into yourself.

When inverted it suggests you will struggle/continue to struggle with being yourself again.

The Moon- This is an opportunity to draw messages from your inner self.

General Meaning

The Moon card refers to a deep state of sensitivity and imaginative impressionability, developed within a womb of deep relaxation. Here we dream and go into trance, have visions and receive insights, wash in and out with the psychic tides, and experience deep mystical and/or terrifying realities beyond our ordinary senses. In a state of expanded consciousness, we cannot always control what happens. The Moon card represents the ultimate test of a soul's integrity, where the membrane between the self and the unknown is removed, and the drop of individuality re-enters the ocean of being. What transpires next is between a soul and its maker.

In the Advice Position

Listen to the body and its unique wisdom. Rely upon your inner resources as your best source of support and security.
The card in the Advice position suggests a course of action which will harmonize what you want with what is currently possible.
The Moon card advises that you trust your instincts and intuitions. Your aboriginal body, which is connected to all living things, is sharper and quicker than the cultivated, civilized self. The everyday mind may not be prepared for strange oceanic circumstances. Plus, it has no game plan. Your intuitive body will support you unerringly if you do not interfere with or try to control what you perceive. A better approach would be to meditate. Try to just be a witness. Do nothing; let nature carry you forward. This may be your best option in this situation.

Moon Stone
Blue, or Cat's Eye Moonstone, promotes clarity of the mind and inner vision, keeping one focused while in a meditative or altered state of awareness. It is particularly helpful in seeing emotional patterns and life lessons, and in balancing yin and yang energies.

It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch, healing to the eye, as if carved from an azure heaven and slipped to earth. Its unique shade of blue, often blue-green, lends it name, Turquoise, to all things of this tranquil hue. The delicate veining or mottled webbing in cream or brown is inherent to the stone and serves to enhance its character.

What I want The Fool card to tell

The Fool represents the beginning of a journey. Cards paired with The Fool can help prepare you for things you may encounter on said journey, and if it will be easy or hard, or relate to recent events.

The Fool reversed means the journey you are about to take is badly thought out, and you should listen to the advice others are offering you.

For Unit 56 we looked into making animations to fit the Discovery, not only being appropriate for any kind of audience, but something that would make sense being in the Discovery Museum. There for I looked into the things the Museum shows year round, and some of the installations they have occasionally.  Such as the Fenwick’s window, where they show different props from the window over the years, and some of the most popular toys available over time. I decided that my favourite idea of mine was the history of science, because it can fit anyone’s style and is easy to work with.

However we were then presented with an opportunity to make an installation for Adidas instead, and thought that would be a better opportunity. The brief with Adidas was to make a projection onto a three-stripe model that relates to Tokyo, Japan and around the years 1988 to early 1990.

Out of my first few ideas I decided on making 3 different short animations of an 8bit flat environment that resembled an 80’s arcade game, but for it to better fit the colour palette we were asked to follow I got inspiration from the popular anime Sailor Moon, with washed out colours. I put together a few mood boards to follow this idea, and a quick illustration of an environment like a Tokyo cityscape.

When watching music videos at home I decided to change my idea to something simpler, that looked nice and would take less time. I got inspiration from the music video Harder, Better, Louder by Galantis, where subjects are rotascoped and looped while talking, dancing, etc. Doing this and changing the colours to match the colour palette left me with a decent looking animation that took less time to make.

When we finally destroyed the earth so much that we were struggling to grow crops and breed livestock, world leaders had to take action. Thankfully nasa had been studying a planet in a different solar system with similar atmosphere and sun to ours, although bigger than earth it would be a perfect place for us to migrate and start new.

The day came and it took 200 years to get as many people and livestock from earth to the new planet along with enough buildings. 1000 years later and we have made this new planet our home, we are comfortable and looking after the planet a lot better than our own.

But everything changed when the fire nation attacked.

Other life forms seemed to find our new planet interesting as well and began mining here, when we found out each other had been living on this planet, neither were happy. Humans were in the way of the aliens mining plans, and the aliens were destroying our new home. Creating another wasteland and ruining the lush atmosphere. A war broke out that lasted 5 years until humans decided we weren’t going to win and couldn’t escape, so fled to within the planet, where we wont run into the aliens as much but can still manage to harvest enough food to survive.

Dr. Death runs a radio show from somewhere in the mountains, everyone tunes in to his show, it gives you hope for our species and reminds us of what we’ve been through since earth was abandoned. One day he gets swatted on air and everyone thinks he’s been ghosted by the terminators. All hope is lost.
Until you hear word of the rebellion, and he’s leading it. Find Dr. D and help him get back at the aliens for destroying our new home! 

10,000 years ago the Earth we know became so polluted that breathing and growing good food was too difficult, making the world’s leaders take drastic action and evacuate as many people as possible to a planet they discovered with a close enough atmosphere for us to live. The planet was great for about 100 years, life expectancy went up, the air was cleaner, we learnt from mistakes and the planet was lush and well nourished.
However others saw the planet for its mining and a war began. The new planet’s environment was destroyed during the war, what was left was a wasteland where plants wouldn’t grow and the air was dusty and hurt your lungs. The Aliens won and continue to mine the land, while the humans retreated to below the surface where they wouldn’t be at risk of the new race taking over.

Word is travelling through the underground caverns that a rebellion is rising. We can’t bring back the planets ecosystem, but we can get back at the Aliens and destroyed it.

This is a game roughly based on the album “Danger Days” by My Chemical Romance, and inspired by; Mad Max, Fall Out 3, Star Wars, Tank Girl, Overwatch, TF2, Boarder Lands, City Of Ember, and Gurren Lagann
